Default Mark Akers In Greenville SC

The Piedmont Wood Carvers Club in Greenville SC hosted a seminar by Mark Akers the weekend of Oct. 8 &9.

It's always great to spend time with Mark. Mark said woodcarving was "just a hobby" but when you see the amount of effort he puts into a seminar you know it's really a labor of love. And he does it all with a whole lot of fanfare, it just seems to come naturally.

What a great time everybody had. Mark donated a his hand-carved Helvie knife for our show raffle. Thanks, Mark.

The first picture is of Mark's belt buckle, then a few random shots from the class.

John,

It looks like a good time was had by all at Mark's class. He's a great carver and great instructor. Looks like he had some pretty good projects there to show off! Thanks for sharing with us!

Blake

It's hard to tell who had more fun the club members or Mark. I've seen Mark work at a class 1st hand and you right - he's a professional all the way. Your lucky to have gotten him there especially just before for the holidays kick in.

Thanks for the pictures John, really had a great time, and the Club was most enjoyable, and what a great setting for carving in your clubs room.
