Default Mahogany Angel

I Just finished up carving "Herby's Angel" from a laminated Mahogany block, that was glued up from a 3/4" board I picked up a Menards. I am gluing up a block from Aspen Pine for another.
This project is a favorite of mine not to complicated and it makes a great gift. This one might just hang around home for awhile.

Best Regards,
Jerry

Thank You everyone for the kind words. The carving was great fun, but all carving projects to me are fun. I love the way projects just seem to emerge from a solid unformed bock of wood.
I am also attracted to Angel carving projects and have started working on an angel Christmas tree ornament out of white aspen pine.

Mateo, I really like my Henry Taylor tools. They hold a sharp edge and the rounded handles provide a comfortable grip. The only issue I have with Henry Taylors is that they come an aggressive ground for the edge perspective. By regrinding the tool to a lesser angle allows me to address the wood from a more shallow and easier controlled cutting angle.
Thanks again.
Jerry
