Lindy, after viewing your home page I'm sure you will do a fine job on this fellow, I was so taken back by the face of this man that I plan on papering the walls of my den with the pix that you great pyrographers will post. Good luck and keep happy.

Hi Tucker,

I've finished the burning - I did it on paper and you can view it in the Pyrography Section under Migrant Worker. I would link it but I don't know how - sorry

Please be gentle as this is my first attempt at a human portrait. I would however invite everyone for your critiques so I can get better.

Thanks
Lindy

Wow!!! Susan - not sure how I missed this but your drawing and your pattern from Cliff's photo are outstanding. Man I wish I had even a fraction of your talent. I've really got to get serious about learning to draw. As a carver I really don't want to be constantly using other people's patterns and designs. I get great ideas but then can't execute what I see in my mind and get frustrated. <sigh> I really need to devote some time to developing this skill. Thanks so much for sharing your talent and this drawing & pattern here.

Cliff,
Haven't been avoiding your challange, just had a case of tennis elbow that slowed me down a bit. Elbow healed ;O). I have a caricature of the fellow carved and plan to paint it a little later this evening! If all goes well I will post it tomorrow for you to have a look see.

Jim OH, hey there buddy, I'm looking forward to seeing it, Merle is doing one as well, I think the subject is such a challenge. Sorry I can't attempt it yet, but I've still got a lot of practicing to do.
