Hi Gang,
Seems that I spend a lot of my time on the road I am taking off today for a ten hour drive to Kapuskasing, Ontario, Canada to the Kapuskasing Lumberjack Festival. This is their fouth year and it keeps on getting bigger and bigger. I was invited the first year as the guest carver and I have been back every year since. Kapuskasing is way up in Northern Ontario, not at the end of the world but almost. Land of black bears and moose and of course lumberjacks. This year I will be carving a large woodspirit that will be erected outside of the Chamber of Commerce that is being built as we speak.I will be back next week and will have more pictures to share and stories to tell. Just thought I would let you know because I am usually on this board everyday.

colin one of the advantages of retirement is one can come and go as they please
i am just returning from a 3+ visit to North Carolina and was able to meet Tom Wolf at Grandfather mountain and another group of carvers just outside Boone.I will visit with my daughter for awhile and then be off again.i'll get home before the snow flys.
