Default Lynn: Question about your bases.

What router bit do you use for your bases? I can find plenty of cove bits that make the curved part concave, but I can't find one that makes a convex surface...

I use a bit that closely matches my name plates. Just go down to Lowes or Home Depot and look I'm sure they will have one as I bought my last Freud bit from them. Go to www.signsbygwynn.com and you'll see the profile that I use. It's called an "ogee".

Claude,
When I carved a saddle per Lynn's pattern. I went to Lowe's and bought a Ryobi 5/32" Roman Ogee Carbide Tipped Router bit. Mine has a 1/4" diameter shank. The part number on mine is A25RB10. I think it matched Lynn's to a tee....Myron

Thanks, Myron.
My local Woodcraft was having a 15% off sale today, so I went down, picked up a Freud beading bit that appears to match the contours on Lynn's base. Gave it a try on a piece off scrap this afternoon and it looks close enough for me.
