Default Lovespoon #2

This is my effort at a David Western designed lovespoon. It was a challenge, especially those *@#%& crossed keys. I knew the key on the right was going to be fragile, so I was being careful with it and broke the other one! Breakout the superglue! Once that was fixed, I went and broke the other one. More superglue. Then when I was taking out the wood between the teeth on one of the keys, I broke triangular piece off the tip of one of the teeth. The broken piece disappeared into the chip box, so I carved a triangular piece off all the teeth. I meant to make it look like that. I REALLY did.

The spoon is carved from a 1"x3"x12" poplar board and finished with my trademark shoe polish finish.

Any and all comments welcome.

Bob

Another good looking spoon. I think you handles the oopsies just right. Now the keys look old and worn.

Call those "engineering changes" and nobody will be the wiser!
Another good looking spoon. I wish I could work that fast, I've been working on the one in the WCI magazine since I seen yours and am almost to the finishing part.
I'm doing it in white pine.
