Default Love Spoon (sort of)

Canadian version of a love spoon. I'm not ready yet for those delicate spoons that are called Love Spoons. My version is 10 inches long and instead of several hearts excetera, I have one haeart. It's made from Butternut wood and has three coats of mineral oil.

Thumbs up Re: Love Spoon (sort of)

Geez, you're really pumping out the spoons while I'm having to strangle my time to get in a minute here and a minute there. Enough of my whining...

When I get all of my other unfinished spoons and projects caught up I now have to try one of those Canadian love spoons. I live only a few minutes from the Virginia state border and was there today but this "Virginia is for lovers" just isn't working for me. so guess it's time to give Canada a try!

I especially like how you carved the heart inside out and hadn't thought of that yet. Nice idea, nice spoon, and glad that you aren't firing up that wood heater while taking those good pictures. (Or at least it looks like a wood heater top to me) Thanks for keeping spoon carving alive here on the forum.

That's definitely a love spoon. Anything that is made with love.....is a love spoon as far as I'm concerned. You did a great job.

Great job Cliff; I'm sure the Mrs. will love it. Have you thought about doing a Canadian spoon?.............instead of a heart; how's about a maple leaf........ eh?
