Default Loop Placement

I usually use the latigo lace for making the loops
I have no set position or distance on the stick to place the loop
as different sticks are diferent lengths
I just stand and have the stick in my hand
and where my my hand is confortable
I drill a hole just below that
I have no set length that the loop will be
just what ever I have available but big enough for my hand to slip through the loop and around the stick confortably
I bought a bunch of different loop latigo at a tack shop in a bag
really cheap that way
have also bought at
wal mart in the craft section and at hobbly lobby
last I bought was $4 for 4 yards
check your local feed and seed or farm supply
tack stores
western supply stores

leather suppliers or stores that sell leather for crafts

Here are some leather suppliers

Thanks Wayne, I should have thought about Wal Mart, they have almost every thing in stock.
