Question Looking for pattern - Praying hands

Does anyone know where I can get a pattern for "Praying Hands"? I seem to remember seeing a relief carving of praying hands somewhere and I just cannot remember where. If not the praying hands maybe some other religious patterns for relief carving.

Thanks,

Chipper67

Chipper67,

Try L.S.Irish's "Carving Patterns" website.

There are some in the gallery , that are really nice pieces if you want to look at some carvings,

Another option would be to take a photo and use it .

I think Ivan Whillock's site has a pattern. I bought one yrs. ago from Constatine's when they were still located in NY. Might give them a look see also.

Old_Gord,

Thanks for letting me know that. I just cleaned it up and pm you.

Newgouger,

Be sure to post a picture when you are done if not before for a work in process. I'd really like to see it.

And thanks everyone else for responding.

Chipper67

P.S. This past Saturday I attended the Mid-America Woodcarver's annual show in Omaha. They had Desiree Hajny as their guest carver on hand (amazing). Once again it was a really good show. There are some very good carvers in the Omaha club. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures.

Be sure to study your hands while you carve. They have better detail than any pattern you'll find!
