| | Looking for a pattern Our local Clinic's reception lady has a wooden carved mouse hanging over her computer monitor. She thought the relative that carved it for her got the pattern from a carving magazine. Would anyone know wich magazine this is from? Its a tiny little mouse that looks real.
My husband would like this pattern to make a few to spook his daughter with. His plan is to place them around her house with out her knowledge and pull a good one on her.
Anyone know where this mouse could be? Or what magazine issue its from?
Thanks. Marci. |

What you are looking for is called a Shelf Mouse or Shelf Sitting Mouse.
I have seen several, but can not remember where to find the pattern. |

| | Re: Looking for a pattern Hi Marci and Rick, I have that pattern, I'll post it here and leave it till you(Marci) says you have downloaded it.
It will have the appropriate credit attached, the original was published in a older magazine and the author of the column where it was printed is now deceased.
The author of the article with pattern was Ted Kona, and it was called "Summer Field Mouse" for some reason. .

| | Re: Looking for a pattern You are welcome Marcie, you owe me nothing, it's not my design, it comes from a old magazine article and I imagine from what I know of the author that he wanted it to be shared, as I said he is now deceased which is our loss. I think there is no problem sharing it as long as it's used properly and the pattern not sold. Just my opinion . .

| | Re: Looking for a pattern I did a search on Google and found this site which has a pattern. Hope it helps! http://members.tripod.com/SWCA/pages/mouse.htm
When you get so you are comfortable carving the little buggers, try doing different things with their tails. It makes the mouse more interesting!
Good luck,
