Question Looking for pattern?

Hello,

A friend is getting married next month and I would like to carve them a lovespoon for a wedding present. Does anyone have any wedding lovespoon patterns?

Thanks,

Chipper67

Try Susan Irish's site: Woodcarving Patterns, Classic Carving Patterns Online, Wood Carving Designs & Patterns Online

Welsh spoons in particular: http://www.carvingpatterns.com/spoons/spoon-pack.htm

There may be others...

I've got lots. What kind of complexity are you looking for? Here are a couple simpler ones.

Thanks Claude and Lblake,

Lblake,

Ha, ha you may call those simple but for me I do not think so. I think I'd like something with two hearts, two wedding bells, maybe a horseshoe. Something fairly easy as I think I'm not going to have a lot of time in carving it. And as far as the wood goes I have basswood or possibly a smaller piece of butternut. Thanks.

P.S. I checked out your website and you do some amazing work. Good job.

Thanks. Hmm... is this more like what you're looking for? i just put MMX (2010) on the scroll - but you could put whatever. I think something like this should be strong enough for basswood or butternut, too.

LBlake,

Yes, that is more of what I was looking for. Thank you. I appreciate it.
