Here it is Christmas time, and I am looking for a pattern to carve an old style nutcracker with the hinge mouth. Any one have one or know where I can get hold of one? Thanks.

I found a pattern in "Woodturning and Techniques", and have made 2, but they are not carved. I found the book at the local library. That should get you started with some directions about hinging the jaw and measurements on the body.
