Default Looking for Crystal Cote

Hi gang,
I was talking with Callynne about the product she puts on her eyes. She uses Crystal Cote, my only problem is that I have looked everywhere here in Canada and I cannot find it anywhere. Is there anyone here that knows where I could get it in Canada. Thank you for your help.
Colin

Colin,
Sometimes it is best to go to the source.

Colin, I don't know where in Canada but you can order Crystal Cote from treeline.com. It is about $2.95 I think.

Colin,
The last bottle I purchased was from Micheal's. I think Curry's carries it as well.
I just got back from the black powder hunt at the lake. Nice 3 foot snowfall yesterday, made the snowshoeing great.

I'm familiar with CC for turnings, but not for carving! Do you just use a drop on the eyes to give them shine?

Colin, My little bride is a crafter and she uses a product called Crystal Glaze. It looks and works just like Crystal Coteand has the same increidences . I have used them both and can't see any differences. Love the way the eyes look when I use those two product. However, it does take a while to dry and build up the eyes, but when looking at the carving, the eyes seem to reflect the highlight whichever way you look at them. Neat stuff.

BTW, Crystal Glaze are in Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Wa-Mart, Maybe other discount stores but I have seen them at different above mentioned stores.
Hope this helps.

You have to use sparingly....it is very thick like honey but will still try to self level if you put in too much. I use a tooth pick and put just a very small amount on and kind of smear that around the eye so the whole eye is coated, then a little more on the pupil......then let it dry over night. I suppose I really should put another tiny amount on the pupil the next day to achieve the "domed" appearance of the eye.....but I am too impatient for that lol.........Talking

Must be only available in the US I have tried all the hobby stores as well as Walmart, Michaels etc but cant seem to find it here. I will have to take a trip into Toronto and see if they have it there. Thanks Rick I have emailed Hut Products and see if they can advise me if its available here.

Colin, The Crystal Clear Glaze I have is a product made by Krylon(Sherwin Williams) and it says triple thick. I believe it. Like Dave posted, a tooth pick is use to apply it on the eyes and if real small eyes, I use the smaller end of a flat tooth pick. The bottle we have is a 4 oz from hobby Lobby for $2.99 US.
