I recently purchased some from Alex Bisso, Montana. Fair price and very nice pieces. Shipped it right away. Do a search on Cottonwood bark Alex Bisso. Tom H

There's been some recent threads on bark carving with links to sources. Here's one:

http://woodcarvingillustrated.com/fo...ght=cottonwood

Note that this thread was started by Bark boy - one of the authors of "The Illustrated Guide to Carving Tree Bark".

Look at the bottom of this page for some others ("Similar Threads").

There was even a thread in January offering cottonwood bark:

any one need bark?

I'd direct you right back to Art Olver (The Bark Guy). He's not only the best at finding the really good stuff, but he's got 30+ years experience at carving it with amazing results. He's great at helping you decide sizes you may need for what you're planning, etc.
