Default Looking to contract a Woodcarver for 125-250 units

We are looking to find a woodcarver able to work on small circular pieces of wood, with the starting diameter being about 1 1/2 inches, and being able to carve down to no less than 1 inch in diameter (for stability issues) at its most narrow points. The best way to describe what we are looking for is to picture a cane that is 1 inch at the deepest carved point, and 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

We are looking for original artwork to be carved into the wood, and we can provide the raw wood stock in Cocobolo, Bacote, Bubinga, Zebrawood, Birdseye Maple, and other exotic hardwoods. The images would need to be about 12 inches in height. We are looking for things like tree spirits, wildlife such as deer, birds, wolves, or even things like indian totems with the images completely based on the woodworkers creativity. We are unable to have any major protruding points, as this needs to stay relatively round, so things like birds wings sticking out would not work.

We would like to have 5 different designs, with 25-50 of each design crafted for our initial order. On reorders, we would like to purchase 25 per model at a time. This is something we are looking to have done for quite some time, and is not likely to be a one time job - there will be reorders. We do not want mass production pieces, but want the uniqueness of each piece being hand crafted for our customers.

If you are able to do things like this and interested in more information, please contact David at 304-868-2500 between 10 AM and 6 PM EST.

P.S. If this is an incorrect forum to post this, please feel free to move this post to the correct location. I did not see another place to post this type of request.

There's nothing running on my server that would cause that, it must of been a problem on your machine. I'll take a look when I get home, I've got about 2 1/2 weeks left in Austin unless I get extended again. Rumor has it that FEMA is wanting me until the end of January. It isn't too bad except for being away from home, I've got enough carving tools to keep me busy on my Sunday's off and a Woodcraft store a few miles from my hotel for carving wood, I went Sunday and picked up a piece of Butternut.

Were are you located id love to have the work to do. Take a look at my wood spirits in tha gallery under woodspirits. I would say Id show you some walking sticks ive carved but I dont have a digital camera to take pictures. Maybe I can borrow my sisters long enough to take a few pics. If not you can look at my carvings I already have loaded. To be honest with you I was just starting to get the blues because so many people are interested in my work but people around here cant afford it and usely the things I carve set in my yard forever. It kinda gets me down knowing in the right location I could make a living doing this.
