Default Looking for Carvers in Nevada

Hey there,
I've been in touch with Paul Volpp and he has agreed that holding a woodcarvers rondevous in Nevada could be a lot of fun. We can bring in some good instructors, perhaps some vendors and maybe even incorporate a carving contest and sale. I was thinking that Carson City may be a good point for the first get together. Paul agrees and has also suggested Virginia City. It is possible that this could become an annual event with the location moving between the northern and southern halves of the state.
We also discussed creating a Nevada Carvers Guild. The purpose for the guild would be to link carvers for sharing resources and coordinating training. If we can get the meeting together we can hold a meeting to discuss what this guild should be like and start the process.
In order to get this meeting roling I need a bit of information. Most importantly I need to know if there is enough intrest to make the idea worthwhile. I would also like a complete list of the clubs and carvers here in Nevada. After that I need the following information which I promise will not be used for ilicit purposes:
1. Name and email address.
2. How likely would you be to attend a rondevous?
3. What time of year is best for this event?
4. what is your prefered location for this event?
5. what is your skill level as a carver? Specialty?
6. What type of class would you be intereted in?
7. Would you be interested in becoming a member of a guild?

Well we'll see how this goes,
Thank you,
Dan
