Default Locket

I want to carve a locket for my grandaughter ( first one 4 months old ) Any ideas on how to open and close it? I have triied a few not real impressed with the outcome. Thanks in advance Hal

how about a small dowel rod so top could swing open like a slidding lid?... dont know of any small enough hinges?
