Default Locate Carving Club

??? A very good carver is moving from central Kansas to Athens, Texas (south of Dallas). Does anyone know a carver or carving club in that area? We bid her farewell last night from our club and would like to get her connected with a new group.
Thanks for your help-
Barry

Don't know about carving clubs in that area, but hope she's into carving fish ... Athens has an outstanding freshwater, I'd like to say aquarium but it goes far beyond that, fishery center. Run my Texas Parks and Wildlife. It's awesome.

Hello,
Texas has lots of great carving clubs. The Texas Woodcarvers Guild is the statewide org. that sponsors a spring and fall gathering. Last I knew you could contact Lem Snith at 6464 San Antonio River Rd, Victoria Tx 77905.

ALso try Ron Davis at dav1502@dellepro.com (he chairs the Spring Roundup at Fredericksburg.) Or fulltimer25@aol.com in the Harlingen area Or Ray North in the Grapevine area at north7821@earthlink.net ---- any of these should be able to put you in touch with the club closest to where the carver is locating.

There's a big show/carving gathering at Grapevine March 1-2; one at Glen Rose Mid-April; and the big rally at Fredericksburg the last of Apriland First of May.

Hope some of these contacts help.

WOW !! We buy Jim Pierce decoys. I can't imagine just calling him up......lol lol lol. I 'think' we have just about every web-footed species he does and are missing only an old squaw hen. Next time you talk to him ask him about one, pretty please?
