Our club participated in the local Woodcraft Stores Fall Show. I carved a pumpkin each day for them. |

Hi John, Those are great looking pumpkins. Do you use your regular carving tools to do those?

I use standard wood carving gouges plus a filet knife and a couple of tools from a x-acto 23 pc woodwooking tool kit. The x-acto cutters are listed as routers, one simulates a #11 gouge, the other a v-tool. You just need to carve a few and find what works best for you. A lot of state or county fairs have pumpkin carving events. Check one out to see how others do it.

Great job on those pumpkins, John! Superbly carved! Can't pick a favorite, although the one with the tongue made me really laugh....Bonnie
