Default Little bear

I finished this little cherry bear in 8 hours with a heavy texture much faster than sanding. The texture is from a cheap electric chainsaw with a dime tip carving bar. Walnut stain with one coat of spar varnish maybe I will apply another. I show a close-up of the face to show how my homemade eye tool works way faster than carving an eye. I know I may be obsessed with how fast I can finish a carving it’s my thing. This is for my buddy I promised him little bear years ago.

I never will but I do enjoy teaching other carvers how to make them with plug cutters modified. If you have a dremel and a metal cut off disc along with some metal cutting stones any carver can make them.
