Default Little Ark

This is a smaller Ark and animals that I am just finishing up. Carved some of it with the box cutter, but most with a detail knife. There are six pairs of animals, that are to be glued to the Ark. Trying to determine the best final finish to go over the watered down paints. Any suggestions? Thanks,
Tom H

That's just about the neatest little ark that I've ever seen... complete with neckin' giraffe's.

As for the finish I'd probably go with a satin polyurethane that would surely provide Moses with just the right amount of "luster" as to not draw too much attention from all the animals that didn't win the lottery for entering the ark.

Hey Tom!

This is great! And, going along with the general consesus - I love the giraffes!

Thanks for posting this. I've been slowly working on the animal patterns you sent me and it's very slow-going. I think I'm trying too hard instead of just cutting out basic shapes. I'm going to use this picture as a reference and hopefully, mine will also turn out this cute!

I agree with Kenny about letting the colors *pop*. I dont know anything about BLO (except for what I've seen others write about), but it seems like a Satin poly would work great.

Again, very very cute!

Thank you all for the nice comments and advice. I did use the BLO followed up with spray Deft. The colors are much better. I am now working on trying to controll my sloppyness and carving speed. I think Speed causes my sloppyness. It might be a lost cause. You know, the old dogs and new tricks thing...Thanks again...Tom H
