Scooter, I will be coming to the Lincoln City Show. I have a table there and hope the roads are okay. I'm in Montana and have to stop in Wa. to load up. Dorothy usually comes but I'm bringing an old Buddie of mine this time. It's a great show, lots of fun, with great people there too! Stop by my table and say Hi! Art/thebarkguy |

Art, The roads should be fine. The ones on the coast, anyway. Don't know about the roads over the mountain passes, but I was at Mt Hood the other day and had no trouble at all getting around. No chains, nuthin'. And I will be stopping by to say HI; we've met several times already, dontcha know... S~

I hope to be there on the 16th. Looking forward to it. I have heard many good reports about the meeting.

The show was great. Lots of very interesting and impressive works of art, and very friendly carvers ready to share their wealth of knowledge. This was my first time there, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Yes it was a fine show. Lots of talent out there. Some intimidating, but inspiring, on the whole. I can't wait to get home tonight and put knife (coupla new Drakes!) to wood. There seemed to be fewer tables this year than in years past. It looked as though they could've fit at least another 10-12 tables in the room. I know of two carvers who weren't there due to failing health, and I wonder if the other spaces were empty for the same reason. I hope this trend doesn't catch on... S~
