Hi Nate, I live in Findlay, Ohio and we have a small but nice club. We have a couple of members that are from Toledo. But I see you are actually from Michigan so I don,t know if this is to far for you or not. We just started a five session class on beginning relief carving. It started Wednesday the 17th and will run for the next four Wednesdays. Rick Jensen is coming in November, he does bark carving. But we have lots of experienced carvers that are always willing to help. One of our Toledo members also belongs to a club there. I think it is called the Black Swamp Woodcarvers but I will check and make sure if you would be interested in that. Our club information is on the club search here. Club search is located in the menu on the left side of the main page/screen under Carving Community. It is the sixth selection down. We are always open to new members and friends and would love to have you visit if it isn't to far for you. If you have any questions or would like me to find out about my friends Toledo club let me know. You can pm me or post here. Good luck with your class/club search. They have both been very enjoyable and helpful for me. Blessings, Tina aka Teeburn

The Black Swamp Wood Carvers meet weekly in Toldeo. They have a carving show in November. Try their e-mail: bswcctol@yahoo.com or Google them for their website. Mike

Thanks, Findley would be far. I am aware of the Black Swamp club and also the Monroe MI club. I would be interested in the bark carving. I have tried that. I jst don't think I can commit to another night of the week out. I am a pastor and out in the evening a lot with a young family. I may need to so I keep moving forward in my carving abilities.
