Default Lee's Summit(KC) show

Went to the show yesterday and enjoyed seeing familiar faces. Bought some wood from Krantz. Gouge from WoodcraftShop. Walked away numerous times from Mr. Zingers bueatiful knives. MY MY! Really wanted one but held off, needed a dust collector more than yet another knife. May have to call him up though later. Lots of good carvings and conversations with fellow carvers.
I've heard this before but a Krantz helper was saying Butternut is getting very rare and won't be available in the very near future. That's a shame.

Hey Bob,
Weren't there some beautiful carvings at the KC Show? And the weather was beautiful -- nice enough to get away, but not nice enough to spend the day working in the yard!!

Hard to come away from the show empty handed. Heard they sold more wood than ever before at the show--I don't think I've ever been there without bringing "much needed" wood home--and a few new tools, too. Always nice to have the Yudis family there to help us stock up on tools. And my, of my, the number of cool knives for sale!! And blanks..........and roughouts.......

Hey folks, Why Wish for something that you can Carve yourself. Why wait around for the name WCI Name Tags. Carve one yourself. Probably would mean more. Or introduce yourself as a WCI board member. You would be surprised at how many WCI members you would meet.

Didn't make it to that show as I was enjoying a Scouting function this week end.
