I am gonna try to attach pics of my latest carvings. It hasn't worked for me so far, but maybe today is the day! The Injun is butternut, and is the one that cracked on me. I filled with a wedge, but still had to stain it darker because of the grain difference. The patch is just to the left of the shirt overlap. The woodspirit is sassafras, and the one with the cap is white pine. Jimb

Jim, I have always been impressed with your carvings although we havent heard from you in quite a while I have been on your web site and really enjoyed it as well. These carvings are outstanding I wish I could put that much detail into a carving. I was looking for the crack in the native but I cant see it at all. Outstanding work always thrilled when you post new carvings. ColinThumbs Up

Absolutely great work. What else can be said! The Indian is a very accurate and powerful piece and it makes me feel like I'm actually talking to him just by looking at him. Many thanks for sharing!

Jimb, love the white pine work! The face is great but it's his mustache that so adds to the facial expression. Great work on all three. Susan |

Wow all three are great! The Sassafrass woodspirit captured my imagination. The hair is blown to the left and the eyes are looking to the right. What does he see in the wind? You want to look where he is looking just to see what he see's. Great Job!!! Goody
