I'd say you have some good ideas and a good start! Keep your first carving, interesting to look back...my first was a small stylized dolphin...wonder why our first carvings were fish? lol

I enjoyed seeing your carvings. I am a retired Dallas Fireman, so there is one that I am very fond of. The carvings are all very good. Your first carving is fantastic. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Tim,

I enjoyed looking at your carvings especially the tutorial you provided. Great stuff and free too. Obviously you've been carving for a good while. Since you are retired, do you now work full-time carving?

Jim, I have been carving for about 12 years, and yes I carve everyday. Thanks for the compliment.

Very nice work, the photo quality might not have been great but your pieces certainly are! Thanks for sharing with us! Callynne

You know Colin, I think you are the only one with doubts! I have no doubt you can carve a great santa...remember I have one of your ornaments!
