Default latest carving pics....what do you think?

hope everyone had a great thanksgiving,spent mine in the smoky mountains and it was great,hit mac's place in townsend, smoky mountain woodcarvers,they'er such great people,i could stay there all day.these are some of my most recent carvings and i was wanting some honest feed back,tell me what you think. and merry Christmas everyone.

Daddio .....you want some good, honest , feedback on your carvings? Keep up the good work! I can't see anything to criticize. I think you are doing a great job now. I especially enjoy the spirit, great expression on the face, good composition. Love the Captain Peg Leg .... a real old salt and looks the part well. His expression and details are super. Perhaps you could set him in a "setting" like on the deck of his vessel, by the rail or the wheel. Take a look at Lynn's site and get some ideas. A setting would make that good carving a great one.

Nice pieces and excellent carving. I, too like the Capt'n best of all. About the only way you could improve him would have been to add a little more detail to his pegleg.
