Default Latest carving

Carved this over the weekend. I got inspired by carverswoodshop on youtube. Basswood, knife carved, with powercarved dots. Wood burned for accent. I could get used to these. About 45 minutes total carving and finishing. Wife loves it. So do I. The first carving I have been pleased with as soon as it was done.

Thanks carverswoodshop, I need the inspiration

Rick

Cute and interesting. Thanks, Rick, for sharing. Just received my Razertip SK model wood burner (made for countries on 220 - 240 volts electric supply) that is packaged with 3 fixed tip pens. Itching to try something similar.

Those are cute toadstools. Good job. I like woodburning accents onto some of my carvings. It adds an interesting and artistic touch.

Good looking toadstool. The burning really did add some detail.

Looks sort of like a morel mushroom...oh how I miss hunting them in the woods when we lived in Nebraska, they taste so good. Your 'shroom looks cute and I understand why your wife likes it.

Neat little shroom. The woodburning is a nice touch.

SM, I'm a rabid morel hunter. One of the reasons I love living in Michigan.

Here's a few pics to jog yer memory.

What a great little piece. Small, sitdown projects are a lot of fun.

I also have to say, Man Terry, you're making me hungry!!!

Nice work Rick! Can't make up my mind whether I'm hungry or I need a smoke! Just kiddin'! The only mushrooms I eat are celophane wrapped from the supermarket!
