For Larry Marten! Hey, Larry, I know you're out there......(who, by the way is one of the best, but most humble and gracious carvers, I've ever met)!
John just told me you were upset that I stole your "Old Barber's" story about flipping the knife over the back when stropping. Well, I didn't! It's my own story, and the "old barber" was my partner on the road, Ed Samson, who steered me straight on stropping! Ed was a barber before he became a trooper and has since retired to barbering again, in White Pine, Michigan... he was an excellent barber, turned into an excellent troop and has returned to being, an excellent OLD barber!
John, by the way is John Modjeski, who is another carver, not so humble, (hehehe) but just as amicable and one of Scouting's BEST!
Just thought that all this had to be straightened out so that the carving community retains it's peacefull decorum!
