I don't know if yopu have a Dollar Tree store near you but they sell them. Hobby Lobby and Michaels also sells them. Haven't been to Wal-Marts for a couple of weeks so I don't know if they do.

Great info, except I need them for work.I like using the thick pencils because they do not break as easy. Boy I would like to get my hands on the old 1st grader pencils from the 60's.

I see the 3/8" diameter "first grader" pencils in the local foodstores and drugstores from time to time--especially at the end of the Summer just before the beginning of school. They have a label of "My First Ticonderoga" on them. My guess is you might be able to find them in the Staples, Office Max, Office Depots, etc. also. Bet if you Googled on "My First Ticonderoga", you'd probably find them for a good price, too. Good Luck! P.S. Here you go: http://froogle.google.com/froogle?hl...line&scoring=p
