Default Large mouth Bass, carved in Mahogany

I bought this chunk of Mahogany from a junk store for $1.00. It might have been cut for some type of base. Its 2 1/4 inches thick, tall at 4 inches and 11 inches long. It was hard wood and had aged with a few water marks on it.

It was fun but hard carving,if Id had a band saw I could had cut out the fish more than chiseling so much on it. It was fun but glad when I got to the stage of painting him.

your thoughts or comments are more than welcome. Thks' Tn~

I would have liked to had carved this bass alot different and left the natural wood to show. But painting him,I can create more realism in him.
I appreciate your thoughts,Joy. Forrest
