Default Laptop carving table

Hi all, I thought I would share my loptop that I made with you it about 19 inch wide and 22 inch long with a 1.5 rail on two sides

That looks like a nice little laptop carving table. David Brock (Lighteningbolt) showed a similar laptop table in one of his you tube videos. He's "hillsandhollers" on you tube. I made one from looking at his and use it off and on. I also have a large apron with a pouch at the bottom.

Nice idea! What is the wood you are carving in the photo? How is it carving the end-grain?

It is basswood it carving realy well as long as you keep you tools sharp

Way to go Shane 1, I made one when I started carving as it was in the fall and I knew it was the only way I would be able to carve in the house. Works great. Happy carving. Al

I just drape a beach towel over my lap and carve away. But this table looks pretty cool. I might build one, can be a catchall for my tools while carving in my recliner too
