Default Laid up and not happy

Hi gang if you have not seen any posts from me it is because I just had knee surgery and went back to work too early. Tripped and reinjured my left knee. So much so that I cant put any weight on it. Therefore I am not able to carve. Stupid me now that the weather is beautiful I am laid up. I do have a talking stick that I have to do for that artist I just came back from in BC. I will post a picture of it when I get it carved. Yes I am back to hand carving the chainsaws have been silenced for now. I am scheduled to have it repaired on June 4th.

Oh Colin, thats not good news at all! I can understand your frustration, I've had my arm in a cast when it was my major garden time. About drove me nuts.

Will you be in a cast after surgery?

At least your still going to be making chips if you have small hand projects to work on.

Good luck with surgery and take it really easy after this one.

Hi Colin, glad to here you are ok, my wife had knee surgery and she is a Hospice nurse, and she went back early and hurt her knee too. I was able to talk he into retiring. It was the only way to get her off her feet! Take your time and rest.

Too bad we are so far apart Colin. I have to have surgery on my foot tomorrow. We could recoup together I will have at least two weeks in a walking cast and then 8 in a boot cast. I will call you this weekend.

Colin, I wish you a speedy recovery also.Take the time to heal properly and in the mean time let the imagination flow on all the carvings you will do later!

Colin,

Heal up quick this time. I suspect there'll be lots of drawings of carving to come....

Hi Colin,

Sorry to read about your injury and re-injury. Hope you have a speedy recovery. But... do take the time to enjoy getting back into hand-carving!
