Default KnottyPine Wood Duck

I had saved alot of the scrap boards when I was putting some knotty pine on some of our living room walls.

This is one of the smaller boards, its 4 X 6 inches and I carved a wood duck on it. Every item on it is carved, the weeds & cotton tails, the trees in the background, etc. The sides and ends of the board,I painted a real dark green.

It was a fun little project. Your thoughts or comments are always welcome.

:::Quacking like a duck sitting in some sand,Im just trying my best to do what I can:::

*looking at all five pix looking at every detail * Yup.. you just finished the one I'll pick as my favorite so far.

We have a pair of wood ducks in our woods behind the house, they sound almost like monkeys in the trees back there.

Marcia.

Im like you Marci,I think of all the different types of ducks that Wood Ducks are the most beautifull ones and Im sure I didnt get all the colors right but Im glad you liked this one!! Kool~ On some wood ducks behind your home.

Not alot of ducks here in East Tn,theres no fly aways here like there was in Memphis & Ms. But Ive learned that people still love ducks! I think its because, when children are even smaller children, they was taken to a park to feed the ducks. Course too,YEappppppp the old rubber ducky in the tub! Soooo People are raised liking ducks!

I know Im?? With my rubber ducky I have in my bathtub! Yea-Right-LOL

Thanks again for your nice comments Marci. Forrest

Once again, my friend....SPLENDID use of color with your paints on that wood duck! One only needs their vision to know that this is another quality piece of "Forrest folk art". This has the appearance of being much larger than the small piece you worked on. Must have been tough carving all that detail in the scenery. Great job, once again, Forrest!...Bonnie
