Default KnottyPine Magnolia

Not haven any good wood to carve right now,Id saved all the scrap pieces from last year when I covered our living room walls with knotty pine. Course I dont have any really nice sizes of theses knotty pine, tongue & grove scrap boards. Had to cut the board down more to get rid of the tongue and grove parts.

But heres a magnolia I carved this morning,a easy little project.

The flower at its bigest point is 4 inches and from the leaves at the bottem from right to left is 6 inches, painted with acrylics. Just a fun carving and as always your thoughts or comments are always welcome.

Thks' Forrest

Yes it tis a pretty flower but your rendition is equally pretty Forrest.

May I be permitted to ask how thick.

Very nice low relief.

Kenny it was 3/4 but I carved it back and its 1/2 inch and 5/8s in other places. Its really deep relief seeing all the background is gone. I think thats right, heck I dont know? All I know it was a easy fun project this morning and Im glad you liked it plus thanks for your neat comments and your questions are welcome about any of my carvings any time. Thks again. Forrest
