| I have a friend that makes beautiful flutes,he mailed me one and I thought Id carve him a Northwest Coast killer whale plus I'm carving him another fetish subject of the Northwest coast. This whale is 3/4 wide, long at 3 3/8s the tail is tall at 2 5/8's,below the whale is the ocean waves. The four eye rings is where leather runs through them to hold the whale on the flute.I applied Mini wax Poly on the finish after the painting. 1st Northwest Coast subject Ive carved. Your thoughts are always welcome. Thk's Forrest

That fetish is a different departure for you, my friend, but you continually amaze me at your adaptations and interpretations. He should LOVE that little fellow! I know I would! That can't be an easy thing to carve, either....having to adhere to the specs so it will be comfortable for him to play with it affixed to the flute. Great job, my friend! Bonnie
