Default Kids Classes / Projects

Hi all,

Just trying to field ideas for a few kids projects. I'm toying with the idea of a few basic classes for kids at our church and would appreciate suggestions for getting the kids going and projects that would keep them interested and allow them to be successful at the same time.

Thanks,
Mike

Default Re: Kids Classes / Projects

I'll post this one again, as it is easy, the kids can really do it and it looks like what it's supposed to be when they are done.

Susan (L.S. Irish) on this site, had a little sunfish pattern, too, that I've used as a quick, easy project for teaching youngsters. Maybe she still has that available. Check with her.

Both of these projects are easily taught with simple supplies and can both be done with either a bench knife or a pocket knife. They are abviously more easily done in basswood, but if you can't find basswood stock in the size you need, soft pine from the local lumber co will do just fine.
