The competition is on Friday, March 23. Not much else organized for that day. On Saturday there are the Purchase Awards at 10:30, the Auction at 1:00, the Carving Context at 3:30, and my favorite event, the packout at 5:00.

Bob Monroe, the bird carver from Wichita, is the Judge. This is always a good show with some great carvers.

Hello Jack,
I've been going to the KC show for about 15 years, so it's been in three different locations in that time. It's the best now that it's ever been. Lots of room at John Knox Village--good parking--good bunch of suppliers and carvers on display.

I usually go on Saturday morning cause I can't usually get off work on Friday afternoon. I'd love to display and compete, but you've got to have a booth in order to enter in the carving competition.

It is always a good time to visit with old carving friends and make new ones, as well as stock up on needed carving supplies and replishish your wood stash.

Lynn, are you having a booth again this year?

Donna T
