Just one more for the Road

I have wanted to try a small carving and felt a Santa would be a good piece to try. This is 1 more Santa for the road out of 2007. He is from Basswood, 3.75" x 2.50". BLO, Acrylic paint, Wax and Feed. That is as small as I want to go. Happy New Year Everyone. Merle

Merle, what a fitting way to close out 2007 with a cute, well carved little Santa. I'm with you though that is as small as I'd want to work.

Yah he's small Merle but you were able to give him lots of detail - great job. He turned our really well so he's a great way to leave 2007 as we move into '08.

we've seen many folks develop lots of different styles for the better,

Thank you everyone for your kind words. it is appreciated very much. Actually Thomp the eyes don't shine at all. That is what a small Dab of white does to fool the eyes. Thanks again eveyone. Merle
