Smile Just a HELLO!

Hi to everyone from Eileen:
I am one of the 2woodchippers, the other is my husband Gary.
I have seen how much he enjoys talking with you folks, so I thought it was time for me to say Hi.
Although a disability prevents me from carving these days, I am still very much interested in the carving community. Gary insisted on showing off some of my work (The Sumac figures, the Torso and my walnut Brave).
Give me a hello if you get a chance......Eileen Ms Smile

Welcome to the boards.

I like your work ,
very stylized and nice lines. Rather unique as well the sumac was well planned.

Hi Eileen -- Nice to meet you. I'm sorry to hear about a disability and sure hope it's temporary because you've done some remarkable work and I know you'd like to see it continue. We sure would !

Welcome aboard Eileen. I have found that Carving is great therapy for my disability, and consider myself very lucky to be able to still do any, though slowly. I hope and pray that you will be able to return to your carving soon, you have done some beautiful work. Best regards,

Bob

Mornin' from the Ozarks Eileen. Just returned from a visit to the galleries and a look at your carvings. They are all good; but, I especially like the torso. Very different. How did you finish it?

Hi Paul:
Thanks for the kind words. I finished the Torso with a "Gunstock" Finish i.e. One coat of linsead oil per day for a week, then one coat of oil per week for a month, then one coat of oil each year forever. I also used paste wax when the oil was dry, the wax and oil are completely compatible.........Eileen Ms Smile
