Default Just finished a Bluegill.
I've been working on this fish for awhile, and thought I'd share it with you here. It's carved in Butternut with a basswood slab.

That butternut sure finishes well. I like the contrast on the basswood too. Very nice fish carving. .

Thanks for all the nice comments, I love to carve Butternut, not only because it's a nice looking wood, but also I don't have to paint it.

I have not mastered the art of painting yet, but I keep trying.
