| | | "Journeys in Inspiration" As I mentioned before, I really want to share with others some of the great places and folks that have been especially inspirational to me. I've developed a sort of 'E-Zine' on my website and have just completed my first article there.
Please take a look! I hope you find something in it for yourself. http://www.teriembrey.com/journeys.html
Thanks,

| | | Re: "Journeys in Inspiration" Teri- What a great story. The text was enough to make me want to go home and carve some bark! The pictures made it even better. What a great addition to your web page. Not only are you a talented artist but a very talented journalist too.

Your 'Journeys in Inspiration' is just fantastic, a great journalistic piece, creative concept to your web site, and above all, a true experience of gaining friendship through a common thread, 'carving'.
From your writing ability and style though, may I suggest you think about putting together some sort of a 'how to carving' book, you have the talents.

| | | Re: "Journeys in Inspiration" Thanks, everyone for such kind words about my little journal thingie and I'm really glad to share my experience with Art & Dorothy with everyone. There are so many places and people out there for us to learn from, if we just pay attention.
No, Charlotte & Big Un, I don't know of any good books or videos about carving cottonwood bark, but you might want to check in with the Bark Guy about it. (HEY ART!! ARE YOU OUT THERE? GIT IN HERE AND ANSWER THIS QUESTION ABOUT HOW TO CARVE BARK! )
Anyway, Big Un, I suspect if you just got yourself a piece or two, and studied it a bit...you'd know exactly what to do with it. Your creativity flows out your pores!

Loved the article, well balanced with pictures and text and as a computer geek the page is well put together. I love the subject as bark carving is something I've yet to try but I guess it's just another way to continue this addiction (heh-heh)!! Thanks for sharing. 8) |
