| | Johson City show Results. As Mark has posted some picts about the show in Johnson City,Tn show heres some more picts and of the show's wininng carvings. I know one thing there was so many great carving at this show and the carvers themsleves where more than happy to talk with you everyone there had a great show even with the blowing winds & snow all day long. Me and my wife went out at noon for some lunch and the temp was 23' and it dropped all day Sat.
I enjoyed talking with the guys from here on the board and not only are they great carvers but just down right nice guys. I also enjoyed telling other people/carvers about WCI and shared with them about how the forum and our board works,several said, Hey I will join.
Im listing several picts and hope Ive gotten it right, I should have gotten all the winners to walk with me over to thier carvings but most like Mark was really busy. I enjoyed so much talking with some of the best carvers we have from WIC and meeting them in person was just something. I hope in the future if any of you get a chance to attend a wood carvers club show,you go.its will inspire you yourself to try even hard with your own carvings. I know it will for me. Forrest

The house was carved in a huge block of cedar by Tom Gow a very nice man who I talked with. It won peoples choice.

| | Re: Johson City show Results. As for myself,I really got lucky! I enter under Novice ,which I sure am.
I enter in several categories with 24 carvings in all and once again I got really lucky or the judges were blind.LOL
I placed in 18 areas with, 11 blues,4 reds & 3 whites ribbons. Im not one to boast or brag on myself but my wife sure smiled alot! The main thing for myself was just being in the company of some of the greatest carver you will find any where. And this is a few of my carvings & I hope you enjoyed viewing some of the great carvers and thier carvings from here on our board.
P.S. My wife when we was driving home said,Heyyyyyy?? I never saw any of thems thers pink ribbons, Id sure liked if you had won one honey,so it would have matched my pink flip-flops. LOL:;;;;;;;;;;;
