Default Jeff Phares Book...

someone help me out here...i just bought the jeff phares book carving faces. it is a great book, so i am looking at purchasing some of his other ones. on amazon, his ear and hair carving book is offered for 299.00? someone ebay has it listed for buy it now for 325.00? are these books ultra rare, or maybe guilded with gold pages, or does jeff magically spring from the pages to carve the ears and hair on your latest project? (that might be worth 325...) what gives?

That must be a misprint ,I've seen it for $14.95 in several different places.

Sorry ,now I can't find the book anywhere.I can't believe that it would be that much, even if it was out of print.I know I have seen it before ,but I just can't find a place on the web that has it.Maybe the fox chapel publishers can give us some insight ?I was thinking of getting all his books ,but not at that price.you could take lessons from the man for that price!

Fox Chapel has his books as $14.95 and in stock both the Carving the Nose & Mouth and Carving Eyes. So this must be a typo on e-bay.

The hair and ears book is out of print and if you want one thats the price. I just got all his books right after this and could not find one at list price any place. He will be doing a class at Smoky mountain this fall for less than what you can get the book for.I am going to try to go.I also looked at some reviews and they said that book was not the best, but it would complete the set and I am sure it has some good info in it if it is any thing like the rest of his books so I hope one day I can find one at a good price. Vince; That is weird because I just checked on the Fox Chapel web page and they list these books in stock?

Anyone from Fox Chapel want to set us all straight?
