Default Jasper National Park Totem Pole

As the old pole was about to fall over, JNP has commissioned a new pole, selected from 10 entries. This is a story pole, "Two Brothers." The carvers, Jaalen and Gwaai Edenshaw from Haida Gwaai and maybe apprentices will be "Carvers in Residence" to finish the pole near the Info Center in Jasper, July 09 - 15, 2011. The pole raising ceremony will be July 16.

This, I will go to see.

With a name like Edenshaw, it's got to be good.

Yes, indeed. Charles(?) was their grandfather. Maybe I've got the first name wrong.
I've seen drawings of the pole and the "Two Brothers" story that goes with it.
