Looks like a lot of fun Claude! Where did they have that competition? My sister lives up there and I've been to the woodcraft store up there. Just wondering if the club was related to the store. Thanks for sharing the pics! Always fun to see pics from a show! Blake |

More Photos. 1. Mostly intermediate 2. Intermediate ?? 3. Open Division 4. Open 5. Sticks. Interesting to note: of all the sticks here, the blue ribbon on the left was for a walnut stick with no carving on it, other than smoothing it and some contouring around the hand grip area... |

In addition to the straight carvings, the Richmond Woodturners also held a competition at the same time, with different rules, judges, etc. 1. Best of show, professional 2. Best of show, Adult. The figures, including Kokopeli, are actually carved into the vase. 3. Best of show, youth 4. General shot of the youth and adult sections 5. General shot Claude |

Another of my carvings - the albatross 4. Another of my carvings - the mechanical bottle stopper 5. The last of my carvings - the folk art Santa for my wife Claude |

Yes, Blake, it was held at the Woodcraft store. The store is moving in a month, though - about 6 miles further West on W. Broad Street. So great deals in the store right now, so they don't have to move the stuff to the new location. I managed to restrain myself to only buying three small things. Claude |

Claude Check out your carvings and they look great. A real variation of different types of carvings. Well done. Thanks for sharing all the other carvings as well. Gene
