Default It's about time!

I started out carving a little over 3 years ago and became fascinated with chip carving. I bought a book and gave it a try, What a disaster!!! Everything I did looked worse than I could have imagined.

Well I finally got around this past weekend to take a class on chip carving and it was a delight to see I can actually make something that might pass for acceptable. The second day we advanced to doing lettering as in sign making and now that's something that I really enjoyed.

So when I got home and showed SWMBO what I'd learned what did I hear "Well it's about time you should have taken those classes 3 years ago."

Good for you Paul....... It's always a thrill to learn something new. I was friends with someone who was a master chip carver and now that he's gone, one of my biggest regrets is that I never asked him to teach me. I'm sure that we'll be seeing some wonderful stuff posted on here from you in the near future. Congratulations.

I think everyone can benefit from a good class. It's a great way to jump start your carving. Glad you had a good experience- happy chip carving!

Way to go Paul! I would also benefit and love to take a chip carving class. Maybe at the next roundup.
