Default Inspired by "Colin & Terri"

I love what Terri is doing with her cottonwood bark santa carvings and I've been thinking about something else to carve on bark besides just a spirit face.........Then Colin came along with his 'Greenman' variation carving and something just sparked in me, to do a different woodspirit variation.

So, I thank both Terri & Colin for getting me to think outside the box. I've placed two picturesup on the picture trail site under woodspirits, carved it yesterday and sprayed it last night.

Quite frankly it was a rushed job, and designed as I carved, but had a mental concept of a standing spirit with a shaft, it what I wanted to incoporate into the bark. Piece of bark is 18' X 3.5'.

Very, very nice bark carving!

Often times pieces that are 'designed as you carve' produce delightful results.

Probably 90% of my bark carvings are done that way!

Congratulations...thats a great feeling when an idea clicks in your head and then just as quickly appears as a finished piece!

I likes it and it is different than any other. great 'outside of the box' concept. I believe the little brides is a design as she carves. The picture I draw for her was a bases of what she wanted but has added other things in it. Wish she would let me help her a little. Oh, she does,,,,,, By me stropping the tools.

Great one Coffeman!
