Anyone going to this event? Being TOTALLY new to woodcarving (haven't even touched a blade to wood yet), I thought this might be good for me to try and attend...

If you can make it I would go. Nothing like getting a good start. It should help you develop could and safe habits. It's easier to learn right than tryng to relearn right after learning wrong.

That's good advice Mark. As with anything ya do, it's MUCH easier to learn right the first time!!

If you can make it, Go For It. Looks like a good time. Tools,wood,instructors,does not get much better. Plus other carvers,
great opertunity.

Well, I checked the calendar and I can't make it for the whole time. If I'm lucky, I might get up there for the day. I was just curious if anyone else was going. Sure looks cool!
