Default Indian War Shield - OutWest Blog

Anyone following Lynn's latest project? I think it is a great project.

I have my frames made and I am looking for some of the plywood he used. These back east home center stores do not carry the same stuff as they do out west..

Plan to cut my carving blank later today. I have my art pattern all picked out, the colors are fixed in my mind. I just need to execute.

I hope there are others that plan to do this project.

Yep Terry, Just waiting for more instructions from Lynn. I stopped getting ahead of the video, if I can stand the wait.

Did not get my blank done today. Got wrapped around the axel. My carving studio is finally finished and I am trying to get it ready (cleaned) for an open studio day on Thursady. I have been using it some as I finished it. Will post some pics when it is spiffy.

Wait Terry, you are suppose to carve Monte before you do a shield. I'm sure that's in the rules somewhere ;-). Tom, I can' believe you are in 'wait' mode.

I think Monte is a bit above my capabilities. I do the shield. Then carve some everyday. Then in a month or 12 - I'll try Monte!
